ASRock introduces Wi-Fi 7 boards for Intel Raptor Lake-S Refresh processors

ASRock has introduced the Z790 NOVA WiFi, Z790 Riptide WiFi and Z790 Lightning WiFi motherboards for 14th generation Intel Core processors (Raptor Lake-S Refresh). The new products also support 12th (Alder Lake) and 13th (Raptor Lake) generation Core processors.

ASRock’s new flagship Phantom Gaming Z790 NOVA WiFi motherboard features a 22-phase VRM with 20+1+1 design and 90A PLC phases. The new product offers support for DDR5 memory with speeds of up to 8000 MHz (via XMP overclocking profiles). 3.0), equipped with a PCIe 5.0 x16, a PCIe 4.0 x16 and a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. The board also offers one M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 slot, four M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots and four SATA III ports.

The new product’s features include two USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C, four USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, seven USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, a 2.5-Gigabit Intel Killer network controller as well as a DisplayPort and an HDMI. The board supports Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) and Bluetooth. The Realtek ALC4082 codec with support of Nahimic Audio technology is responsible for sound processing in the new product.

The Z790 Riptide WiFi and Z790 Lightning WiFi boards received 18-phase VRM PLC power supply subsystems with 16+1+1 circuits. The Z790 Riptide WiFi supports DDR5 memory modules with XMP 3.0 profiles up to 8000 MHz, while the Z790 Lightning WiFi offers support for DDR5-7600.

The Z790 Riptide WiFi model received a PCIe 5.0 x16 and PCIe 4.0 x16 as well as a PCIe 3.0 x1. The equipment includes eight SATA III ports, one M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 and four M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4. The set of available ports also includes one USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C, six USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, one 2.5 Gigabit Intel Killer network controller , one HDMI, DisplayPort and eDP each. In addition, it received a Realtek ALC1220 audio codec, supports Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) and Bluetooth.

The Z790 Lightning WiFi model received one PCIe 5.0 x16 and PCIe 4.0 x16, as well as two PCIe 3.0 x1. The new product comes with six SATA III ports, three M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4, one USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C and eight USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A fitted . It offers support for Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and Bluetooth and also has a 2.5 gigabit network controller and the Realtek ALC897 audio codec.
