The ASRock W790 WS motherboard is equipped with a 22-phase 20+2+1 VRM power supply. The novelty claims support for up to 2TB of DDR5-6800+ RAM with ECC error correction, as well as support for Intel XMP 3.0 RAM overclocking profiles. However, the latter is relevant only when used with processors that support overclocking – not all representatives of the new series support it.

The board offers four PCI-Express 5.0 x16 slots and one PCI-Express 4.0 x16 slot. In addition, there are two M.2 slots for PCIe 5.0 NVMe drives, and four more such slots are available on the included expansion card, which also has two fans.

The novelty also received two USB4 Thunderbolt 4 connectors (Type-C 40Gb / s + PD 3.0 charging), one U.2 Mini-SAS connector (PCIe Gen4 x4), eight SATA III, one USB 3.2 Gen2x2 type -C, two USB 3.2 Gen2 and eight USB 3.2 Gen1.

The use of the 7.1-channel audio codec Realtek ALC897, support for wireless standards Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, the presence of a 2.5-gigabit (Intel i225LM) and two 10-gigabit (Marvell AQC113CS) network interfaces are indicated .
