ASRock Industrial has released two motherboards, 4X4-7735U/D5 and 4X4-7535U/D5, based on AMD Ryzen 7035 (Rembrandt-R) family of processors. These 6nm chips were originally intended for laptops, but ASRock Industrial adapted them for miniature desktops.

Both models measure 10.4 x 10.2 x 3.6 cm, slightly smaller than the Nano-ITX form factor. The boards 4X4-7735U/D5 and 4X4-7535U/D5 copy each other exactly except for the processors. In the first case, we are dealing with an AMD Ryzen 7 7735U with 8 cores, 16 threads and a clock speed of up to 4.75 GHz; Graphics subsystem Radeon 680M, which offers 12 processing units RDNA 2 with a frequency of 2.2 GHz. The second is an AMD Ryzen 5 7535U, a 6-core, 12-thread, 4.55GHz chip with Radeon 660M graphics with 6 RDNA 2 blocks and a peak clock speed of 1.9GHz. Despite the differences, both chips consume 28 W – unpleasant surprises in terms of temperature can hardly be expected with these 6 nm models, but ASRock Industrial plays it safe and equips the boards with active cooling.
There are multiple SO-DIMM DDR5-4800 memory slots on board – you can get up to 64GB in total. A standard PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slot allows for the installation of a fast NVMe SSD, but there’s also a SATA III connector for a hard drive or an additional SSD. The video output is via HDMI 2.1 with support for resolutions up to 7680 × 4320 at 60 Hz, as well as via DisplayPort 1.4a, which supports up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz. A pair of USB 4.0 Type-Cs present here can also be adapted for video outputs, so that a total of up to four monitors can be connected. The 4X4-7735U/D5 and 4X4-7535U/D5 boards also each have two Ethernet ports: one with a 2.5Gb Realtek RTL8125BG controller, the second with a standard 1Gb and DASH support . There are no integrated wireless modules, but there is a free M.2 2230 Key E PCIe x1 slot.
There’s also an integrated Realtek ALC233 audio subsystem with a single 3.5mm headphone or microphone jack. There’s an extensive set of universal connectors: two of the aforementioned USB 4.0 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, and two slow USB 2.0. There is a power port and even a COM port. ASRock Industrial 4X4-7735U/D5 and 4X4-7535U/D5 motherboards will go on sale on June 21 for $630 and $480, respectively. American store Newegg is already taking pre-orders for it, but only one board per hand.
