ASRock, a well-known computer manufacturer, has expanded its range by launching two new Mini-ITX motherboards for AMD AM5 processors: B650I and A620I Lightning. The first, A620I Lightning WIFI, belongs to the Phantom Gaming series. It was the second Mini-ITX motherboard on the market based on the A620 chipset (the first was Gigabyte’s A620M DS3H). The B650I Lightning WIFI, on the other hand, is a simplified version of the older B650E PG-ITX model.

The design of the new phantom gaming style motherboards will delight enthusiasts. The novelties are made in a characteristic black colorway with a distinctive logo on the radiator. Despite the lack of RGB lighting, they look stylish and modern.

Both the B650I and A620I Lightning boards are designed for AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors and equipped with an 8+2+1 power supply system with Dr.Mos power transistors that support current up to 60A. This ensures stable operation even under high loads. The processor is powered via an 8-pin connector.

Expandability is particularly important for enthusiasts and professionals. Both motherboards support DDR5-7200 memory up to 96GB. For storage, there are Hyper M.2 (Gen4x4) slots on the A620I and Blazing M.2 (Gen5x4) on the B650I. There are also additional Ultra/Hyper M.2 slots and two SATA 3 6.0 Gb/s interfaces.

The new models offer a wide range of ports, including USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C and classic USB 2.0. Built-in WiFi 6E and 2.5GbE LAN adapters are included. Overall, both the ASRock A620I and B650I motherboards offer a great feature set in a compact design. Although the official price is not yet known, it is expected to be between $150 and $200.
