Citing reliable sources in China, Mac Otakara claims that the fifth-generation iPad Air will be announced this spring alongside the updated third-generation iPhone SE. The new tablet will have the same design as the current generation model. The device retains the single main camera of its predecessor, but is complemented by a redesigned four-color LED flash. The front camera is improved. The 12-megapixel module will support Center Stage technology, which will allow the user to always be in the center of the picture during video conferences. One of the most important innovations will of course be the A15 Bionic chipset. Keep in mind that the same chip is used in the current iPhone 13.

The rest of the fresh iPad Air will be identical to its predecessor. It retains a 10.9-inch screen with narrow bezels, a power button with an integrated fingerprint sensor, a USB Type-C port, and a wide range of body colors.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple’s first event this year will be in March or April. It will feature the new iPad Air, the fresh iPhone SE, which is rumored to differ from its predecessor only in an updated hardware platform with 5G support, and probably some other products.
