Apple Store employees wont learn to sell Vision Pro headsets

Apple Store employees won’t learn to sell Vision Pro headsets until early 2024

Apple will begin training retail store employees on how to use the Vision Pro mixed reality headset in the “early months” of 2024. This confirms Apple’s previous statements that the headset would go on sale early next year.

According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Apple Store employees received notifications inviting them to apply to attend the training event. It is expected that the focus of this event will be on training employees in the use of Vision Pro and the procedures for selling the device.

“Selected team members will travel and participate in an event in Cupertino, California sometime in the early months of 2024. Once they return, they will provide training and ongoing support to staff in their stores.”said the message received by Apple retail employees.

While Apple has not yet announced a specific schedule for the start of sales of the Vision Pro, employee training provides clarity. Since it will take place in the first months of 2024 and employees will need some time afterward to pass on what they have learned to on-site sales consultants, sales of Vision Pro could begin in the middle of the year rather than at the beginning as expected. Apparently, the start of sales of Vision Pro will be associated with the organization of special platforms for interacting with the headset in flagship Apple stores, while other stores in the network will receive two demo devices.
