Some users of the music service Apple Music have found playlists in the application that they did not create. It is noteworthy that in some cases the service started showing other people’s playlists in full, while in other cases it added other people’s tracks to users’ existing playlists. It is also noted that in some cases users have noticed the disappearance of their own playlists.
Some users of the service who encountered this problem expressed concerns that their Apple accounts might be hacked. However, a more likely cause of its occurrence is a bug in iCloud. According to reports, the way to get the library back to its original appearance is to cancel the sync and then repeat the iCloud sync process for the Apple Music app.
According to the source, the mentioned problem affects Apple Music users on iPhone, on macOS such changes have not been noticed. The first reports on this appeared in mid-February. It is suspected that the issue may have appeared after the release of iOS 16.3.1 update which included bug fixes in iCloud settings. Apple officials have yet to comment on the matter.
