Apple yesterday confirmed that its next major event will take place on September 14th. The company is expected to officially unveil the iPhone 13 smartphones and the Apple Watch Series 7 smartwatches. It is possible that the event will also feature the ninth generation iPad tablets. This is indirectly indicated by a significant increase in the delivery time of the current generation iPad.
Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman noted that delivery times for almost all current-generation iPad models have been pushed back to October. At the same time, in American stores, some models are completely sold out, in Europe the delivery time is from three to four weeks, and in Brazil – from four to six weeks. The journalist noted that Apple has asked retailers not to comment on the lack of tablets. In his opinion, this may indicate that the company will introduce a new generation of iPad later this month.
Back in July, it became known that Apple was planning to release a new iPad, codenamed AJ181. According to reports, the iPad of the ninth generation will be built on Apple’s proprietary A13 chips, but no major changes in the design of the tablets are foreseen. Since Apple has unveiled the seventh and eighth generation iPads in the past in September, it may well be that the tradition will continue this year. It is also known that Apple is working on a completely redesigned iPad mini, but most likely it will be presented in October-November this year.
