The laptop is equipped with a 13.3-inch Retina display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels and a brightness of up to 500 cd/m²2. The equipment includes WLAN 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless adapters, a backlit keyboard, a FaceTime HD camera, stereo speakers, Thunderbolt/USB 4 interfaces and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The “heart” of the novelty is the proprietary Apple M2 processor. It combines a central CPU unit with eight cores (four each productive and energy-efficient cores) and a 10-core graphics accelerator. In addition, the M2 features an expanded security block, a new 16-core neural coprocessor, and improved hardware video encoding and decoding with support for 8K H.264 and HEVC video. The size of the main memory is 8 to 24 GB, the capacity of the solid state drive is 256 GB to 2 TB.
Pre-order reception for the new MacBook Pro laptop opened exactly a week ago – on June 17th. And now Apple has organized the delivery of the devices to the first buyers. The laptop starts at $1,299.
