Apple honors Steve Jobs on the 10th anniversary of his death with a small, moving film

Apple honored the memory of Steve Jobs, who passed away exactly 10 years ago, on October 5, 2011, by releasing a short film about the life and work of the co-founder and former CEO of the company.

Apple also released a statement from the Jobs family:

For ten years now, we have been grieving and trying to come to terms with the loss. Our gratitude is now as great as the loss.

We all found solace in our own way, but we are united by love to Steve and thanks for what he showed us.

Of all Steve’s talents, over time, the most important has become that of a teacher. He taught us to see the beauty of the world, be interested in new things, look into the future and, most importantly, start any path with a humble heart.

We still look at many things from his point of view, but he also taught us to think for ourselves. He gave us all the tools for life, and it helped a lot.

We associate Steve with beauty, which has become one of the main sources of consolation. A beautiful wooded hill or an exquisite work – all this reminds of him. Even in those years when he suffered from pain, he did not lose faith in the beauty of life.

The memories are not as strong as our feelings: we miss him deeply. It is fortunate that he was our husband and father. “

Tim Cook, the current CEO of Apple, also shared his thoughts on the anniversary of Jobs’ death. In a memo sent to Apple employees, he wrote: “Steve encouraged us to see the world not as it was, but as it could be. I am very fortunate to spend my days with him, creating insanely innovative products that bring people together, inspire them to think differently, and also enable them to leave their mark on the universe. “

Jony Ive, a close friend of Jobs and former chief designer at Apple, also shared his memories: “He truly believed that by creating something useful, inspiring and beautiful, we were expressing our love for humanity. I miss Steve desperately and will always miss talking to him. “

A film dedicated to the memory of Steve Jobs is available for viewing on the main page of the official site companies.
