As expected, Apple today held a presentation at which the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus smartphones, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max flagships, as well as the Apple Watch Series 9 smartwatch and other new products were introduced to the general public. At the same time, an updated version of the AirPods Pro wireless headphones was announced with a case equipped with a USB-C interface (also known as USB Type-C).

It would be strange if Apple released an iPhone with a USB Type-C port but left its hugely popular AirPods Pro headphones without this innovation. Now owners of the new iPhone 15 and AirPods Pro can use the same cable to charge both devices (and all other devices too). It is also possible to charge the headphones directly on the iPhone.
Apart from the integration of the USB Type-C interface into the case, no hardware or design changes have been made to the headphones. Before us are the same second generation AirPods Pro. However, there were also software innovations such as the functions Adaptive Audio (determines the user’s music preferences) and Conversation Awareness (automatically activates transparency mode and reduces the volume of the music being played when speech is detected).
AirPods Pro headphones with a case equipped with a USB Type-C interface will go on sale alongside the new iPhone 15 series on September 22nd. They can be purchased for $249.
