Apple fixed a bug that caused conversations with the voice assistant Siri to be recorded even if the user forbade it. The bug appeared with the release of iOS 15, when the Siri Enhancement Program and the voice input setting were spontaneously activated – it gives Apple permission to record, store and analyze user conversations with Siri.

As reported After ZDNet’s release, Apple removed the related entries after discovering the bug and disabled this setting by default with the release of iOS 15.2. And with the release of the second beta version of iOS 15.4, iPhone owners received news with an offer to participate in the voice assistant improvement program.
Apple has reported that this bug is affected “small amount” devices, but gave no further information about the incident. The causes of the breakdown are also not specified – the setup is simple “unintentionally” activated. There is also no information that the company has warned iPhone owners who have been recording conversations with Siri against their will. The only way to get rid of this error and protect your sensitive data is to update your device to iOS 15.2 or later.
