Former IGN and Kinda Funny Editor Colin Moriarty on the New Year’s Eve episodes of the Sacred Symbols podcast. divided Allegedly inside information about the unannounced remake of Horizon Zero Dawn for PS5.
Recall that in October portals MP1st and Video Games Chronicle reported that Sony was reportedly updating the popular post-apocalyptic open-world action game from studio Guerrilla Games for the PlayStation 5.
Guerrilla Games was thought to be handling the updated version themselves, but according to Moriarty’s sources, that’s not the case: “If [ремейк] is real, then I heard another team is doing it”.
As for Guerrilla Games, the Dutch studio is currently finalizing the Burning Shores add-on for Horizon Forbidden West, is helping to develop Horizon Call of the Mountain for PS VR2 and is already recruiting for the online Horizon.
Horizon Zero Dawn debuted on PS4 in March 2017 and came to PC (Steam, GOG, EGS) in 2020. It was previously reported that the remake will feature improved textures, models, animations, lighting, view distance, and gameplay comfort.
