More than five months have passed since Google released the Android 13 mobile operating system. Despite the fact that a lot of time has passed since the launch of Android 13, this operating system is only installed on 5.2% of Android devices, like the Officials occupied Google statistics.

Google has historically reported to developers on a monthly basis about the proliferation of different versions of Android, but such reports have appeared infrequently in recent years. Most recently, data on the spread of different versions of the mobile operating system were published in August last year, that is, just before the launch of Android 13. Now, for the first time in 2023, Google has published a graph that clearly shows the current situation and allows you to measure the spread speed of the estimate the new OS version.
Published data shows that only 5.2% of devices are currently running Android 13. Android 12 and Android 12L account for 18.9%, up from 13.5% in August. The most popular is Android 11 with a share of 24.4%.
For the older OS versions, it should be noted that the share of Android 8.0 Oreo fell below 10% for the first time and was 9.5%. The oldest Android version in Google stats is Android 4.4 KitKat, which has fallen from 0.9% to 0.7% since August. Previously, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was reported as the oldest version, but it is simply no longer included in the statistics.
