Turbostrider27 user from Reddit forum noticedthat AMD has uploaded a video on its YouTube channel demonstrating the fantasy action RPG Lies of P on the Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card.
Remember that AMD has already used Lies of P to promote its graphics accelerators. In August 2022, the company showed a glimpse of the game as part of a demonstration of graphics performance on the RDNA 3 architecture.
Since then, graphics cards based on RDNA 3 have not only been fully announced, but also released. It is considered the flagship of the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, has 24 GB of GDDR6 memory and is comparable in performance to the GeForce RTX 4080.
The Radeon RX 7900 XTX specs allowed AMD to run Lies of P in 8K (YouTube video is only available in 4K). No performance metrics are shown in the cutscene, but the gameplay looks reasonably smooth.
Recall that in the role of a mechanical puppet Pinocchio, the users of Lies of P must find their creator Geppetto and find a way to save the city of Krat, plunged into madness and bloodthirstiness.
AMD’s video shows battles with common enemies on Krata Street and a fight against the boss – an electrified robotic soldier with behavior resembling a monkey. The company points out that this content has not been shown anywhere before.
Lies of P is expected to release this summer on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Game Pass. The developers promise a 30-hour campaign and a unique system of lies: the ending will depend on what the hero does and says.
