AMD has a mobile line of Ryzen Pro 5000 processors that launched last year. A new leak from Lenovo suggests that the manufacturer may also release desktop versions of the Ryzen Pro 5000. They will be from the Vermeer series, which will use Zen 3 architecture and will not have integrated graphics.
The Lenovo leak mentions three models of Ryzen Pro 5000 desktop processors – Ryzen 5 Pro 5645, Ryzen 7 Pro 5845 and Ryzen 9 Pro 5945. The first model is poised to offer six physical cores with support for 12 virtual threads running with Frequencies run from 3.7 to 4.6 GHz. The chip gets 3 MB L2 cache and 32 MB L3 cache. The second model is an eight-core processor with support for 16 virtual threads. It should work in the frequency range from 3.4 to 4.6 GHz, have 4 MB L2 cache and 32 MB L3 cache.
The older Ryzen 9 Pro 5945 model will offer 12 physical cores with support for 24 virtual threads. The operating frequency range of the processor is 3.0 to 4.7 GHz. The processor has 6 MB L2 cache and 64 MB L3 cache. All processors also support DDR4-3200 RAM.
All three processor models are listed and already are as configuration options for the ThinkStation P358 Tower Workstation written down on the official Lenovo website. At the moment it is not known when these chips will be officially announced.
