AMD introduces the new Radeon RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT and RX 6650 XT for $399 to $1099

AMD introduced the latest Radeon RX 6×50 XT series graphics accelerators. It includes the Radeon RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT and RX 6650 XT models. They differ from the usual versions of the novelty in slightly higher GPU frequencies, faster GDDR6 memory, as well as increased power consumption.

The flagship Radeon RX 6950 XT is based on the Navi 21 XTX graphics chip with 5120 stream processors and 80 ray tracing accelerators. The card features 16GB of GDDR6 memory with a data transfer rate of 18Gb/s per pin (the standard Radeon RX 6900 XT memory runs at 16Gb/s). The TDP of the updated accelerator is 335 watts. AMD compares the Radeon RX 6950 XT to the regular GeForce RTX 3090, but the gaming performance charts also show the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.

The company has priced the Radeon RX 6950 XT at $100 more than its predecessor. The recommended cost for the graphics card is $1099.

The Radeon RX 6750 XT uses the Navi 22 chip with 2560 stream processors. The card has 12 GB of GDDR6 memory on board with a data transfer rate of 18 Gb / s. The declared TDP of the novelty is 250 watts. The accelerator can be an alternative (but not a replacement) to the regular Radeon RX 6800, one of the most disliked models in the Radeon RX 6000 series.

According to AMD, the Radeon RX 6750 XT will compete head-to-head with the GeForce RTX 3070. The recommended price of the graphics card is $549. That’s $70 more than the recommended price of the regular Radeon RX 6700 XT and just $30 less than the Radeon RX 6800.

The Radeon RX 6650 XT model is based on the Navi 23 chip with 2048 stream processors. The card has 8 GB of GDDR6 memory with a transfer rate of 17.5 Gbps and is a direct competitor to the GeForce RTX 3060. The maximum power consumption of the Radeon RX 6650 XT is 180 W, which is 10 W more than the NVIDIA card.

AMD rated Radeon RX6650XTat $399, which is $20 more expensive than the Radeon RX 6600 XT.

Sales of the Radeon RX 6950 XT and Radeon RX 6750 XT graphics cards in the reference version start today. In particular, they are offered through the official AMD Online Store. In general, however, the introduction of new graphics cards depends on the decisions of partners. In a few hours, AMD will lift its ban on posting independent reviews of new products.
