Specifically, the company announces the appearance of the “Sharp Effect” slider in the Radeon Super Resolution 1.1 settings in the May AMD Software Preview Driver on its official blog. It allows you to more precisely select the desired parameters for the operation of the RSR scaling technology.

Keep in mind that unlike AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution scaling technology, RSR technology is implemented at the driver level and does not require support from game developers for its implementation in games.

It also speaks of an average performance increase of up to 10% compared to yesterday’s AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.5.1 release in some games using the DirectX 11 API on Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards, even greater in some projects. For example, it’s up to 28% in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, up to 30% in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, and up to 11% in Grand Theft Auto V. Also included in the list of games that received a speed boost:

  • Farming Simulator 22 – 3% increase;
  • Total War Saga: Troy – 17% increase;
  • Total War Hammer 3 – 5% increase;
  • Watch Dogs Legion – 10% increase;
  • The Witcher 3 – increase by 3%;
  • Apex Legends – 5% increase;
  • Overwatch – 3% increase;
  • PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – 3% increase;
