Amazon has released a new teaser for “The Boys: Diabolical,” the animated spin-off of “The Boys,” to announce the attraction’s premiere date. The preview, which follows a cuddly baby, gives a glimpse of the violence that can be expected from the attraction starting March 4th.
The spin-off series will have eight episodes of 12 to 14 minutes in length, each with its own animation style, written by various stars such as Awkwafina (“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”), Andy Samberg (“Brooklyn Nine”). -Nine”), Garth Ennis (the creator of “The Boys” comics), Ilana Glazer (creator of “Broad City”), Simon Racioppi (“Invincible”), Justin Roiland (creator of “Rick & Morty”), Ben Bayouth (“Blark and Son”) and Aisha Tyler (“Criminal Minds”).
According to producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, they have always wanted to develop an animated anthology ever since they saw “The Animatrix”, set in the “Matrix” universe. “Today that dream has come true,” they said in a statement.
In addition to the animated project, Amazon will also release a live-action spin-off of “The Boys”, as yet untitled, which will take place at a superhero college.
