Apple intends to use punch-hole displays for selfie cameras in all four models of the iPhone 15 series. Currently, this scheme is used for only two options – the latest generation Pro versions.
According to publication the electr, compared to notches, this provides more usable screen real estate. The Pro and Pro Max models have a Dynamic Island cutout, and in the iPhone 15 series all options get it, including the most affordable ones.
After the electrSamsung Display has already purchased additional laser etching equipment from Philoptics this month to cut holes in panels supplied by Apple.
Last September, the display maker, which supplies OLED panels to Apple, acquired more multipurpose manufacturing facilities than planned from AP System and HB Solution as demand for the iPhone 14 Pro Max was stronger than originally expected.
According to reports, Apple will not use the Face ID technology hidden under the screen in the future series. Apparently it will be used in models of the next generations.
