Alibaba has unveiled a special version of the DingTalk working suite designed for augmented reality glasses. The package includes an enterprise messenger, a video communication tool, and other collaboration tools.
The special version of the DingTalk XR package allows you to use standard DingTalk tools in augmented reality conditions – only the smart glasses Rokid Air are needed. The device connects to a smartphone and projects a display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels into the user’s field of view. demo video shows the operation of DingTalk tools in augmented reality: Eye movements, the touch display of a connected telephone and a wireless keyboard serve as controls.
Alibaba is sure that the new collaboration format will also be in demand: The DingTalk audience consists of 500 million users and 30 million organizations. While the price of Rokid Air’s augmented reality glasses may be off-putting, it’s around $584. In China they are sold on the Alibaba Tmall platform, and in other countries they are available on the Indiegogo platform for $489, albeit with a warning about delivery delays.
