Alan Wake II will have two characters: Alan himself and FBI agent Saga Anderson. The sequel, unlike the original game, is a psychological horror.

In the new game, FBI Agent Anderson investigates a series of ritualistic murders in the small town of Bright Falls. She links these incidents to the disappearance of writer Alan Wake, and the case soon takes a horrific turn. Meanwhile, Wake himself tries to get out of the hellish, surreal prison – the Dark Abode. Remedy screenwriter and creative director Sam Lake gave the appearance of one of the characters.

Alan Wake II, the sequel to Remedy Entertainment’s 2010 cult hit, will be released October 17, 2023 on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
