Activision talks about the success of Call of Duty: Mobile in 2021

portal Chronicle of Video Games noticed that in April report for the past year Publisher Activision Blizzard also mentioned the new successes of their mobile shooter Call of Duty: Mobile.

Remember that shareware entertainment started in October 2019 and attracted more than 150 million players in the first three months after launch. In May 2021 the number of downloads was exceeded 500 million.

As it became known, 2021 turned out to be a record for Call of Duty: Mobile: the game successfully launched in China, annual consumer spending “clearly exceeded” $1 billion and 650 million downloads.

“This is an important milestone given the success of free-to-play Warzone on PC and consoles, but there’s even more opportunity as we assemble a talented team to work on a mobile version of Warzone that brings the Call of Duty franchise is set to take to new heights.”– hopes Activision Blizzard.

In the same report, Activision Blizzard explained the weak sales of Call of Duty: Vanguard, promised not to repeat these mistakes with Modern Warfare 2, and announced the number of employees working on games in the series – more than 3,000 people.
