Activision has announced when the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be discussed and how many people are playing Call of Duty each month

portal Chronicle of Video Games drew attention to the fact that Activision Blizzard mentioned the development of a new Call of Duty and the overall success of the franchise as part of its financial report for the second quarter of calendar year 2023.

As Activision Blizzard notes, Activision are teams “We’re working hard on the next big games in the franchise, which are slated for Q4.” – We’re talking about the full-size Call of Duty and the mobile Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.

According to Activision, development “A full-fledged premium annual release for PC and consoles is well under way”. The game is said to be a sequel to last year’s Modern Warfare 2 by Sledgehammer Games.

As for the success of the franchise, on the eve of its 20th anniversary (in October), the monthly audience of Call of Duty is about 90 million people, more than half of whom play on mobile devices.

On Tuesday, Activision confirmed that the next game of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will adopt Operators, Bundles, and Weapons for the first time in the series’ history. Allegedly, maps and modes from the previous part are also to be migrated to the new version.

The same day the company disclosedwho will share first details on the presentation of the new Call of Duty at the announcement of the fifth season for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone, which is expected in early August.

According to insider Tom Henderson, the new Call of Duty called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be announced on August 1st as part of an in-game event and will be released on November 10th.
