Acer has introduced the Vero family of green computers, which includes the Aspire Vero notebooks for the general user and the TravelMate Vero for the commercial sector. Vero’s enclosures are made from recycled plastic and come in recyclable packaging.
The Acer Aspire Vero chassis is made from 30% recycled plastic and the keys are 50% recycled. The 15.6 ” FHD IPS panel is 99% recyclable. The laptop is based on Intel Core Tiger Lake processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics. VeroSense software will enable the user to select a usage mode optimized for energy efficiency and battery life.
The Acer Aspire Vero boasts Wi-Fi 6 support, a USB-C port and two USB-A connectors. Along with the laptop, Acer introduced the Macaron Vero mouse, mouse pad and laptop sleeve, made from environmentally friendly materials.
The Acer TravelMate Vero, also made from environmentally friendly materials, is designed for business users. It features an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and up to 1TB SSD. Like the Aspire Vero, the new product runs on Windows 11.
In addition to laptops and laptop accessories, Acer introduced the Veriton Vero Mini mini PC. The device uses Intel Core processors with vPro technology. Of the communication capabilities, it is worth noting support for Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E. In addition to the mini PC, Acer has released the Vero BR277 monitor, which is made from 50% recycled plastic. The device is equipped with a Full HD-matrix made using IPS technology. The display is covered with an anti-glare ComfyView panel. BlueLightShield technology reduces the amount of harmful blue light emitted from the panel. Of course, the computer and monitor come in 100% recyclable packaging.
Acer also reported on the success of its Earthion program, which addresses existing environmental challenges. To date, Acer, including its global subsidiaries and subsidiaries, has successfully met its 2020 target of reducing emissions by 60%. Acer is currently taking steps to fully switch to renewable energy, due to be completed by 2035.
The Acer Aspire Vero will be available starting at $ 699. The basic version of TravelMate Vero will cost $ 200 more. The Vero BR277 monitor will cost $ 299. The Macaron Vero mouse will retail for $ 25 and the eco-friendly mousepad for $ 20. A laptop sleeve made from recyclable materials costs $ 25.
