Acer has announced a Chromebook Spin 311 portable computer designed specifically for high school and university students. The device runs on the Chrome OS operating system.
The notebook (R722T/R723T models) is equipped with an 11.6-inch display with a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels and supports touch controls. Thanks to the convertible design, the lid with the screen can be rotated 360 degrees, thanks to which the novelty can be used in different modes, including tablet mode. The display is coated with antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass.
The basis was the MediaTek MT8183 processor: It combines eight cores and a Mali G72 graphics accelerator. The chip works together with 4 GB of RAM.
The eMMC flash storage capacity is 32GB or 64GB. WLAN adapter Wi-Fi 6 / Bluetooth 5.2 (R723T) or Wi-Fi 5 / Bluetooth 4.2 (R722T) are available. The Chromebook has stereo speakers, USB Type-C and USB 2.0 Type-A ports.
The novelty will go on sale in March at an estimated price of $400.
