Acer launches D501 docking station for Chromebooks

Acer has announced the D501 docking station suitable for use with laptop computers running the Chrome OS operating system.

A symmetrical USB Type-C port is used to connect a laptop. It delivers up to 60 watts of power, allowing you to recharge the battery of a connected laptop.

For peripherals, four USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A ports and two USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A ports are available. These connectors can be used to connect a keyboard, mouse, printer, external storage devices, and more.

The front has a standard 3.5mm audio headphone jack. In addition, a Gigabit Ethernet network port is provided.

The station has two DisplayPort interfaces and two HDMI connectors. It is noted that it is possible to organize the output of the image simultaneously on three monitors with a resolution of Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels).

The novelty is made in silver-gray color. Dimensions are 26x85x204.5 mm, weight is approximately 260 g. The docking station can be purchased for an approximate price of $ 300.
