Acer introduced the exercise bike eKinekt BD 3, which is equipped with a table on which you can place a laptop and USB ports for charging devices – the power generated by pedaling is enough for several devices.
The power generated when pedaling at 60 rpm is up to 75 watts, the manufacturer has calculated – for comparison, the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max consumes 30 watts and charges in less than 90 minutes. The Acer eKinekt BD 3 table features two USB Type-A ports and one USB Type-C port for connecting multiple devices. The exercise bike has two positions: “Work”, in which you can place a laptop on the table and write text on it; and “Sport” – the table moves back, and the owner of the simulator can lean forward for improved training. There is also a smartphone application that collects statistics on calories burned and watts produced.
Acer eKinekt BD 3 not only offers an environmentally friendly source of energy for gadgets – as the manufacturer claims, the table and body of the exercise bike are made of recycled plastic. In Taiwan, the Acer eKinekt BD 3 will go on sale in April, and customers in other regions will be able to buy it in June. The cost of the exercise bike is $999.
