As promised at the beginning of the year, HMD Global has started smartphone production in Europe, more precisely in Hungary. The first model to roll off the assembly line was a smartphone. Nokia XR21 Limited Edition.
Of the first edition of 50 copies, only 30 will be offered for public sale. Each phone is engraved with its own unique serial number. The devices are only available in Frosted Platinum (gray) color and are delivered in a special packaging version.
The Nokia XR21 smartphone was introduced in May. The device has a protected housing that meets the requirements of MIL-STD-810H and IP69K certification – this is the highest level of protection against water and dust. The phone comes with a 6.49-inch FHD+ IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
The Nokia XR21 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 platform, runs Android 12 out of the box and has a 64-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel wide-angle module. The battery capacity is 4800mAh and supports 33W charging.
The Nokia XR21 Limited Edition smartphone will be available for €699/£599 in Germany, France, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Finland and the UK. Later, the manufacturer will complement it with the basic version of the Nokia XR21 in black for €649/£549.
